Attachment and Trauma Training for Midwives

This training has been developed as part of a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) research project exploring the relationship between adult attachment styles and psychological birth trauma, with a particular focus on how midwifery care might influence attachment security during the perinatal period.

The overarching aim of the research is to investigate whether increasing attachment security may serve as a protective factor against psychological birth trauma during childbirth, and whether midwives can play a role in facilitating this process.
